The sixth edition of the International Diamond Week in Israel had many extra elements this year – and one of them was a day trip to Jersalem.

The second day of IDWI concluded with a festive cocktail reception at the Leonardo City Tower Hotel for all participants.

The comments were made by ALROSA President Andrei Zharkov at a special meeting at the IDE in front of a large audience which came to hear about ALROSA's future plans.

IDE President Yoram Dvash: "The present is the only time to create our reality and that's what we are doing today."

WFDB Vice President Yoram Dvash told the gathering that the 2018 World Diamond Congress will be hosted by the Israeli diamond trade in Tel Aviv in May or June next year.

Blue and pink diamonds increased by 5.5 percent and 1.4 percent, respectively, although the rises were offset by a drop in prices of yellow diamonds.

The replica of the Crown was created by Kristall-Smolensk, Russia’s leading diamond manufacturer in honor of its 250th anniversary.

The Israel Diamond Exchange will close registration by February 3, with people registering after that date not being guaranteed free hotel nights.

The sales figure indicates strong demand as the industry replenishes inventory following the holiday season.

T he delegation will sign a Memorandum of Understanding ( MOU ) with representatives of the younger generation of the Israel Diamond Exchange.

Among the diamonds will be a rough stone weighing 207.28 carats and a polished gem weighing 80.59 carats.

"This is the kind of exchange we want to see: more technological and energetic," said IDE President Yoram Dvash, who also mentioned that new developments are set to take place at the bourse.
