The Moroccan Ambassador to Israel visits the Israeli diamond bourse in Ramat Gan
Today, the President of the Israel Diamond Exchange Boaz Moldawsky hosted the Moroccan Ambassador to Israel, Mr. Abderrahim Beyyoudh at the Israeli bourse to introduce him to the diamond industry and examine possible collaborations. Participating in the meeting were also the CEO of the Diamond Exchange Eran Zini and members of the Presidium. -
This visit comes as a result of the strengthening of economic relations between the two countries and the desire of the Diamond Exchange to bring diamond and jewelry delegations to the International Diamond Week in May 2023. The warming of relations is mainly due to the Abraham Accords signed two years ago and the mutual efforts to increase trade between the parties.
During the visit, President Moldawsky welcomed the Ambassador and pointed to the extraordinary potential of cooperation in the field of diamonds that has not yet been realized. He added that following the signing of the Abraham Accords, trade volumes jumped, mainly with the United Arab Emirates, but stated that with suitable ventures and investment, the potential for trade relations between Israel and Morocco is huge -- the sky is the limit, he said.
Later the Ambassador was given a tour around the diamond exchange and the trading hall, where he was warmly received by members of the exchange.
At the end of the successful visit, it was agreed that the diamond exchange would work together with the relevant parties in Morocco to promote and develop cooperation between the countries.
