In their work meeting, Diamond Exchange President Boaz Moldawsky and Belgian Ambassador Mr. Jean-Luc Bodson discussed ways to strengthen the commercial relationship between the two countries’ diamond industries and increase the scope of trade between them.
Today (Tuesday), Belgian Ambassador Mr. Jean-Luc Bodson and Commercial Attaché on Investments and Trade Mr. Jacob Lampert visited the Israel Diamond Exchange and met with the exchange’s president, Mr. Boaz Moldawsky. The work meeting was also attended by the members of the exchange’s board and by Exchange CEO Mr. Eran Zini.
During the visit, Exchange CEO Eran Zini presented the economic data of the Diamond Exchange’s operations to the representatives. Additionally, in a meeting held in the president’s office, the president an the ambassador discussed various issues with the intent of strengthening the collaboration between Israel’s and Belgium’s diamond industries and increasing the scope of trade.
At the end of the meeting, Exchange President Boaz Moldawsky led Belgian Ambassador Mr. Jean-Luc Bodson and Commercial Attaché on Investments and Trade Mr. Jacob Lampert on a tour of the Trading Hall, the Technological Division and the exchange buildings complex. The Belgian ambassador was highly impressed by the scope of trade and by the manner of the Israeli Exchange’s operation vis-à-vis the international markets.
At the end of the visit, Exchange President Boaz Moldawsky said: “Strengthening the exchange’s ties with foreign delegations is an important strategic objective which we have been nurturing these past few months. Belgium is important to us not just as a European market but also thanks to our good commercial relationship with it. The ambassador’s visit was a resounding success and we will continue promoting many such visits in the near future as well”.
