Commemoration

Commemoration

The Commemoration Committee works to honor the memory of members who have made a significant contribution to the diamond industry in general and to the Israeli Diamond Exchange in particular.

The Committee establishes criteria for commemoration activities and ensures the implementation of these criteria.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Diamond Exchange, the committee has produced a prestigious book documenting the history of the Israeli exchange since its inception in 1937 until 2007. The album will be distributed in Israel and worldwide in Hebrew and in English.

The committee is also working on producing a commemorative book in memory of some 1,000 members who have passed away since its inception until today. As part of this activity, the names of the deceased will appear, along with a brief description of their work.

The Committee also deals with the recognition of the members who have contributed to the exchange, and holds a special evening of appreciation for members who have reached the age of eighty.
