The committee also works to bring additional financial institutions to the diamond industry for the purpose of increasing the credit facilities to the diamond industry.
Another major issue for the committee during this period is examining different options that are for diamantaires within the regulatory parameters in Israel and around the world.
The committee maintains regular contacts with the Bank of Israel and especially with the departments related to the specific accounts for diamantaires.
Another issue which has occupied the committee for several years, and especially during the Corona pandemic, has been technical and professional assistance to members of the diamond exchange in attaining attractive loans which are guaranteed by the State of Israel and provided by banks at a very low cost.
