Ambassadors' Wives Visit Israel Diamond Exchange

The visit began with a tour of the Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Museum, and continued with a reception in the directors' room together with IDE President Yoram Dvash and IDE directors.

The wives of ambassadors from dozens of countries including Egypt, United States, Belgium, Germany, Singapore, Jordan, Turkey, visited the Israel Diamond Exchange on Monday and met with IDE President Yoram Dvash.

The visit began in the Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Museum where the women were given a guided tour that introduce d the m to the process by which diamond s are made , how they are mined and finally set in jewelry .
 
 

Avner Sofiov, the owner of auction house Tzoffey's 1818, gave the ladies a lecture diamond investment and the global diamond market. At the end of the lecture, the group continued to the diamond exchange where there was a gala reception in honor of women with the IDE's management, including Yoram Dvash and members of the IDE Executive.

Yoram Dvash welcomed the ladies, saying: "We are delighted to welcome you to the bourse. In the 80 years that the diamond exchange has been in existence, we have never had a visit from such a special delegation. I think we need to make this visit a regular occurrence," Dvash said to laughter from the visitors.

After the visit, the exchange presented a gift to each of the a mbassadors' w ives who then continued with a tour of the bourse's Trading Hall.
