The comment was made by the IDE President Yoram Dvash at an advanced Ebay marketing seminar for graduates of the previous eBay course. The IDE will launch a new and unique additional Internet marketing venture for exchange members.
The IDE held an advanced sales meeting for eBay graduates at the Leonardo City Tower Hotel Tel Aviv with the participation of the IDE President, Yoram Dvash, and Business Division Manager at eBay Israel, Elad Goldenberg. The aim of the seminar was to provide graduates of the first eBay marketing course, extra advanced tools for marketing diamonds on the world's greatest sales site.
Dvash spoke about the potential of marketing diamonds on eBay and said, "I've had a lot of doubts about whether to mention our work with eBay at the World Diamond Congress in Dubai in May which may lead other exchanges to copy us, but I think I will leave it at home. We are in continuous touch with eBay and talk nearly every week. It's no secret that there are issues that we struggle with, but I see the difficulties from close up and am aware of them. However, it takes time for the eBay system to make changes and adapt the site for exchange members. But what is important for us is that the system has detected the diamond sector as potentially a very large industry and I am optimistic about the future."
Goldenberg said that the aim of the seminar was to provide advanced marketing tools for course graduates. "The basic course you've done is not enough. We see the potential for the rest of the way, so we have created a seminar to help you reach the next stage. Today we'll talk about the marketing tools that will take you to places that that the regular eBay seller does not reach. We will also deal with policy changes and updates that are very relevant in the diamond sector. This shows the trend of eBay to introduce the diamond sector as a very significant area of the platform.
"As a result of the collaboration with the exchange, and understanding the needs of the members, we went to United States and asked to make changes to allow you to do your job better. This also applies on the subject of shipping and the process of product returns. We know it's not perfect, and we are in contact with Yoram Dvash, and Director-General Eli Avidar in order to give you solutions and I hope that some of them you already received today. I wish you a successful year in terms of sales targets and destinations," said Goldenberg.
