During his visit to the March Hong Kong gems and jewelry tradeshow, IDE President Yoram Dvash held meetings with heads of the diamond and jewelry industries in Hong Kong in order to strengthen the relationship with Israel.

Dvash, who returned at the end of last week from the gem and jewelry fair in Hong Kong, held several meetings during his visit with diamond and jewelry industry heads and was interviewed by the local media.

Dvash held a meeting with the President of the Diamond Federation of Hong Kong, Lawrence Ma, CEO of the Federation, Lily Chan, Federation member, and CEO of Chow Tai Fook, Kenneth Wong and the Israel Diamond Institute's representative in Hong Kong, Noa Prado (see image below).

The aim of the meeting was to strengthen the relationship between the Israeli diamond industry and the Diamond Federation of Hong Kong. "We invited members of the Diamond Federation of Hong Kong to participate in the next International Diamond Week in Israel," said Dvash. Our aim is to bring more Hong Kong buyers to Israel.

Dvash also held a meeting with the Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers Association Chairman, Adam Lau, its CEO Wings Cheung, other representatives from the organization and Noa Prado. The aim of the meeting was encouraging and strengthening the relationship between the Israeli industry and the Hong Kong Jewelers Association, and creating future cooperation.

Dvash said he was favorably impressed by the exhibition this year. "We sensed that there is the start of a recovery, especially regarding the number of visitors compared to the number of visitors to the exhibition that was held in September. There was great interest from buyers, a positive atmosphere and sales."
