The Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) will be hosting renowned jewelry designer Stephen Webster from the United Kingdom as its Guest of Honor during the winter edition of the International Diamond Week in Israel, that will be held on the IDE trading floor February 14-18.
Webster will be on the stage at the opening ceremony on February 15, and take part in a diamond and jewelry marketing panel discussion in the afternoon.
"I am excited to be coming back to Israel after an absence of more than 20 years, and look forward to taking part in the International Diamond Week in Israel. High quality diamonds are a part of my own jewelry creations, as well as the jewelry of the house of Garrard. I expect to be seeing a lot of those quality diamonds on the exchange floor during my visit," said Webster, who has received an MBE for his services for training and skills in the British jewelry industry, and recently published his first book "Goldstruck: A Life Shaped By Jewellery."
Israel Diamond Exchange President Yoram Dvash said Webster's arrival was very welcome.
"One of my goals as president is to create much closer relationships with the world's trendsetting jewelry designers and producers. Israel, as the world's leading specialist in larger fancy shaped diamonds and fancy color diamonds has lots to offer to the top end of the jewelry design and manufacturing market.
I am confident that Mr. Webster, who has not visited our country for more than two decades will be inspired by what he will find on our trading floor during the International Diamond Week in Israel," Dvash stated.
The Israel Diamond Exchange offers accredited and confirmed buyers three free nights in one of the IDWI's venue hotels in the Ramat Gan diamond district.
