U.S. jewelry retailer Smyth Jewelers and Uneek Fine Jewelry have created the largest engagement ring in the world.
It measures 17 feet tall and 14 feet wide and will have a permanent home outside of Smyth's Timonium, Maryland, showroom.
"Smyth is known for being 'where Maryland gets engaged'," said Smyth CEO Mark Motes. "This ring is a symbol and a testament to all the couples we've helped with their engagements, weddings and milestones, and all those future couples we hope to serve."
Baltimore-based advertising agency TBC, Inc., worked with Smyth to conceive, design and build the world's largest engagement ring.
"Smyth has been around for more than 100 years; they are engagement experts," said TBC Chairman and Chief Creative Officer Allan Charles.
"The ring will be a place for people to celebrate their love."
The ring is modeled after a Uneek Jewelry design and took over a year to fabricate and install. It was officially unveiled to the public on October 15.
