Amal Education Body to Oversee Polishing Courses at New Center

Amal has added new content to the courses, emphasizing admission guidelines and work safety procedures.

The Amal educational network, a leading school network in Israel, will oversee the polishing courses held at the Modern Manufacturing Center in Ramat Gan near the Israel Diamond Exchange.

Chairman of the IDE's Industry Committee, Yoram Dvash, said: “We are always striving to improve and to promote our work. The standards afforded by Amal will benefit both the students and the industry.

"We are adopting standards from a respected technology-centered educational network, and the students receive a certificate from a well-respected institution

Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association Managing Director Ofer Laufman, who led negotiations with Amal, said: “The Amal educational network has contributed from its experience in the process of admission.

"We have adopted its recommendations and from now on, applicants interested in taking the polishing course will go through a different admission process. They will tour a polishing factory to get an insight into the work and its nature, and will undergo a test to measure their technological and other relevant skills. Then, they will be invited to a personal interview ”.
