The Israeli diamond sector's Industry Committee, which includes representatives from the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE), the Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association, and the Israeli Diamond Institute, on Wednesday visited the modern manufacturing center of the IDE.
Others taking part in the visit, were the IDE's Vice President, Yehezkel (Hezi) Bloom, Ben-Zion Shasho, and Diamond Controller Shmuel Mordechai. The delegation visited the teaching and polishing rooms and saw from up close the bustling activity in the Center.
Industry Committee Chairman Yoram Dvash explained to the members of the group about the activities of the Center, its facilities there and the latest technology being used. "I call on all Israeli manufacturers in the industry to come and take advantage of the technological equipment in the Center, and to use the services of the professional staff here to guide them using Sarine Technologies and OGI Systems equipment, and gemological testing of diamonds which is all available at no cost," he said.
Dvash thanked the Committee members and said: "I would like to thank you all for your hearty support and the back-up that you gave me that enabled us to turn a vision into reality."
At the end of the visit, the Committee members set mezuzot in the doorways of the polishing rooms.
