The Chairman of the IDE's Industry Committee, Yoram Dvash, congratulated the course graduates and presented them with their certificates. A representative of the GIA gave the graduates a lecture on proportion and symmetry in diamond polishing.
The second course for diamond polishers at the IDE's Modern Manufacturing Center ended on Thursday with the presentation of certificates.
The presentation ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the IDE's Industry Committee, Yoram Dvash, Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association Managing Director Ofer Laufman, the coordinator for the Industry Committee and head of security at the bourse, Yisrael Vanchovski, the Manager of the GIA branch in Israel, Gabriel Alin, and the Manager of the Modern Manufacturing Center, Menachem Moalem.
Yoram Dvash commented: "Today you are finishing the polishing and joining the Israeli diamond industry. Although the number of graduates is not high, but the quality is what is important.
"Good luck to everyone, and go forward and succeed and know that we are always here at your disposal for help and advice. Thank you very much to the Manager of the Modern Manufacturing Center, Menachem Moalem."
Dvash then presented certificates to the course graduates: Tal Ben Nun, Yisrael Tal Belizinski, Shalom Davidov, Tal Becherten and Israel Klein.
Before the graduation ceremony, the manager of the GIA in Israel, Gabriel Alin, and senior GIA gemologist, Yoni Fold, gave the graduates a lecture on proportion and symmetry in diamond polishing.
The lecture was also attended by the graduates of the first polishing course as part a program of enrichment classes and to keep their knowledge up-to-date.
According to Gabriel Alin, the aim of the lecture was to enable the new polishing course graduates to become familiar with the parameters for polishing upon which the GIA grades the quality of polishing.
