The Group continued the tradition of achievement and honor: Yechiel Miller and Chaim Sbati won first place in the grueling competition in their age category.

Members of the sports diamond exchange, headed by Haim Sveti, participated in a contest held in the Israman 2015 competition in Eilat at the end of January. The grueling competition includes 1.9 km of swimming in the Red Sea, 90 km cycling in the Eilat mountains, and 21 km of running. In addition to Sbati, the Exchange team included Yehiel Miller, Amir Waisbord, Orly Troop, and Yitzhak Gershon.

The competition, held in Eilat, was actually half of the usual 'Ironman' contest, and enables most of the group members who participate in competitions to keep in good shape. Last year, Miller and Sbati took part in the 'Ironman' competition in Sweden, while Orly Troop participated in Ironman in Austria and Yitzhak Gershon participated in the competition held in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

The competition is held annually in Eilat after the most difficult contests in the world because of its unique geographic conditions. After the swimming part, the competitors start the grueling climbing part of the expedition by bike with steep ascents to Netafim, a 15 km long event which requires huge effort. The competition ends with a downhill run which creates enormous pressure on the knees and on leg muscles.

The Group continued the tradition of achievement and honor: Yechiel Miller and Chaim Sbati won first place in the grueling competition in their age category.

Miller said, "The competition was held two days after the explosion of the Eilat-Ashkelon pipeline oil and we smelt the oil in the air. There was a strong north wind which made it difficult for us, but nevertheless there were good conditions. I gave my best and I felt very good."

The members of the team thanked IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer and Chairman of the Sports Committee, Ben-Zion Shasu, for the bourse's support.
