"Members of the Israel Diamond Exchange are known for their spirit of volunteering and their contributions and contributing when needed," said President of the Exchange, Shmuel Schnitzer. "We are happy to help and assist in establishing a medical wellness center in Sderot, which will serve the residents of the South and citizens living near the Gaza Strip and allow them access and immediate availability," he added.

The Center, whose construction is currently taking place, is designed to provide treatment for thousands of residents of the South who suffer from mental health problems due to the firing of rockets from the Gaza Strip.

The Center will include medical services, a day rehabilitation center, a therapeutic pool, medical equipment for loan to patients and ambulances for the Gaza border area. The project cost is estimated at about 40 million shekels ($9 million).
