Around 90 children from the organization Little Heroes, who live in Southern Israel and next to the Gaza Strip, were taken on a jeep trip on Tuesday in the Sharon area that was organized for them by the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE).
Around 60 jeeps formed a long convoy as they created a fascinating journey for the youngsters. The journey started at the Alexander River, where the children were given breakfast, and continued in the direction of the sea. The journey ended with lunch in Hadera forest.
IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer said: "We are proud to be able to give a lot of help and comfort to these special children.
“The Little Heroes charity organization is doing amazing work that words cannot describe. All the activities of the organization are non-profit and the people doing the work are volunteers. We are proud to assist and to be part of the joy of the lives of these special children. We see this as both a duty and a privilege."
Dr. Yariv Vintzer, President of the Little Heroes Association, took part in the trip. He said: "I thank the Israel Diamond Exchange that operates quietly and happily answered our request for a donation that helps us to make life nicer for these special children.”
Little Heroes was established as a social organization in 2001 on the initiative of Michal and Dr. Vintzer and others. After 10 years, it was recognized as a social movement. Little Heroes is based on volunteer help for special needs children suffering from mental disabilities.
