IDE To Set Up Advanced Polishing Center
The center will soon be opened at the bourse using cutting-edge equipment and will include a school for the training of polishing skills.
The Industry Committee of the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) has announced the establishment of a modern manufacturing center at the IDE.
The aim of the facility is to create a polishing plant that will strengthen the Israeli diamond center as well as expanding manufacturing production in the country.
The center, to be opened shortly, will be based in the Israeli bourse and will also include a diamond polishing school for the training of scores of diamond polishers annually.
Israeli diamantaires who manufacture diamonds at the new center will be able to use the latest technological equipment, have access to skilled gemologists, top-level professional consulting, and other benefits to be announced soon.
The IDE is calling on Israeli manufacturers who have facilities in Israel and are interested in employing diamond polishers to join the new venture.
Companies interested in manufacturing on a regular basis at the new center will be able to do so for a low charge, the IDE said in a statement signed by IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer and Industry Committee Chairman Yoram Dvash.
