Chinese Ambassador to Israel Visits Bourse

Dr. Gao Yanping paid an official visit to the diamond exchange in Ramat Gan on Thursday.
China's Ambassador to Israel, Dr. Gao Yanping, who has been invited to the US/ International Diamond Week to be held in April, expressed her willingness during a visit to the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) to host high-level figures arriving from China to take part in the event, including ministers and governors.
 
The Ambassador was accompanied by senior staff from the Chinese Embassy, which included the commercial attaché Hu Ming (Ming Hu), political attaché Qin Bojun, and Third Secretary Song Guan.

IDE President-Shmuel Schnitzer received the Ambassador together with Acting President Kobi Korn and bourse CEO Motti Besser.

They presented the Ambassador and her team with an overview of the work and activities of the Israel Diamond Exchange and the central role of the Israeli diamond industry in the global diamond industry and the Israeli economy.

After the exchange of mementoes, the Ambassador and her team were shown around the diamond exchange, the technology wing, and the Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Museum.

The Ambassador expressed a desire to host high-level figures arriving from China to take part in the US / International Diamond Week next month, including ministers and governors.

IDE President Schnitzer formally invited the Ambassador to participate in the diamond week event.
