U.S. Polished Imports up 1.2% on Year in November
U.S. polished diamond imports edged up 1.2 percent on the year to $1.897 billion in November.
For the first 11 months of 2013, U.S. polished diamond imports surged 16 percent year on year to $21.166 billion, diamonds.net reported.
Polished exports jumped 23 percent to $1.595 billion in November, and by 16 percent to $17.825 billion for the January-November period.
Meanwhile, rough imports soared 49 percent to $73 million in November, but for the first 11 months of last year inched up just 3 percent to $470 million.
Rough exports dropped 10 percent to $267 million in January-November.
