Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair Will Have Two Seminars

The fifth edition of the Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair (ADTF) later this month will feature two breakfast seminars aimed at diamond marketing and promotion.
On January 27, diamond marketing pundit Aleah Arundale-Siegel, will speak on marketing diamonds and diamond jewelry to retailers.

"What marketing really is, is showing your personality," Arundale-Siegel says. "Your personality is what attracts your customers. Make buying jewelry more fun, and you will sell more of it. In my talk, I will share ideas on how to sell more [diamond] jewelry.

"Much of this talk is geared toward retailers, but I think everyone can find it helpful. As a diamond trader and wholesaler, the more you understand about your customer, the better off you will be. I am confident that you will walk away with some new ideas that with help you - the retail jeweler and the diamantaire - improve your business."

At the second breakfast seminar, on January 28, World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) President Ernest Blom will speak about the World Diamond Mark Foundation (WDMF) initiative to create and implement a global, generic diamond marketing and promotion campaign. Blom is also the WDFM vice chairman.

"These two seminars are relevant to both visiting buyers and exhibiting diamond companies," said Marcel Pruwer, president of the Antwerp Diamond Bourse (Beurs voor Diamanthandel).

"The character and content of these seminars fit perfectly with the underlying principle of the ADTF, using Antwerp's position as a multifaceted diamond centre to provide worldwide diamond stakeholders with solid added value. We are confident that both sides - buyers and sellers - will benefit from this fair in the short and long term," he said.

The Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair is sponsored by the AWDC.
