DDC Recognizes Yair Sahar and Moti Fluk With Awards
Diamond Dealers Club President of New York, Reuben Kaufman, made awards of recognition to “two distinguished individuals who worked tirelessly to enable the event we are participating in today to take place".
At a special ceremony, held during the second day of the Israel Diamond Week in New York, the DDC made the award of honorary membership to former Israel Diamond Exchange President Yair Sahar. In addition, IDE treasurer and Chairman of the IDE’s Tradeshows and Israel Diamond Week Committees, Moti Fluk, received an award for excellence.
DDC President Reuben Kaufman, said: "I want to honor two particularly distinguished personalities from the previous management of the Israel Diamond Exchange, who worked tirelessly to enable the event we are participating in this week to happen.
“First of all, previous IDE President Yair Sahar, without whom none of this would be happening. I call on his representative here, his son Idan, to receive the award of honorary membership on behalf of his father. This DDC award marks the outstanding contributions of Yair Sahar to furthering cooperation and strengthening ties between the two exchanges.
"The second award is for one of the nicest people I have ever met, a humble man not looking for respect, and we should honor him for his work in organizing the previous and current Israel Diamond Week – previous Deputy President of the IDE and current IDE treasurer Moti Fluk. Moti, the DDC appreciates your work and the many efforts to strengthen relations between the DDC and the Israel Diamond Exchange. My thanks to you and to everyone."
