DDC President Kaufman Says Israel Diamond Week a Success

Diamond Dealers Club of New York President Reuven Kaufman reported that the first day of trading at the Israel Diamond Week was an enormous success.
More than 500 American and Israeli firms of the Diamond Dealers Club and the Israel Diamond Exchange came to the Diamond Dealers Club Trading Floor to buy and sell goods.

Kaufman indicated that over the next few days, it was expected that substantial trade would take place between the IDE and DDC members. He anticipated that this would represent an outstanding start to the holiday season, traditionally the most productive period of the year for the diamond business.

IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer reported that his members were extremely pleased with the enormous turnout and the organization of Israel Diamond Week by the Diamond Dealers Club. He and his colleagues look forward to the next three days of the show and for continuing the exchanges in Ramat Gan and New York well into the future.

Both Schnitzer and Kaufman praised the collaboration between their bourses and said it should serve as a model for inter-bourse cooperation worldwide.

Long-time DDC Bourse member Yehudah Mandelbaum stated that in his 50 years in the diamond business he has never seen such a large crowd of dealers on the DDC Trading Floor.
