Israel-Africa Chamber of Commerce Presents Award to Israeli Members

The prize was awarded to Israeli companies operating in Africa, including Leo Schachter Diamonds which manufactures in Botswana and carries out many social action programs for local residents.
Leo Schachter Diamonds on Tuesday (27.08.13) received an award for its business operations in Africa at a ceremony of the Israel-Africa Chamber of Commerce held at the Dan Panorama Hotel in Tel Aviv featured guest of honor, Minister of Economy - Naftali Bennett.

The Chamber of Commerce, headed by President Eli Avidar, who is also the CEO of the Israel Diamond Institute, gave the award to Israeli companies operating in Africa.

Leo Schachter Diamonds, which manufactures in Botswana, carries out many social action programs for local residents including in the fields of education and health care.

The recommendation to the Israel-Africa Chamber of Commerce regarding Leo Schachter Diamonds was made by the Israel Diamond Exchange President Yair Sahar, after examining the data with the Diamond Controller of the Ministry of Economy.

Yair Sahar gave the award to Elliot Tennenbaum, Senior Partner at Leo Schachter, at a ceremony attended by Diamond Controller Shmuel Mordechai, Israel Diamond Institute Chairman Moti Ganz, Israel Diamond Exchange CEO Moti Besser and other dignitaries.
