Auction of Diamonds and Gemstones to be Highlight of Third Day

Auction will include significantly more stones than were sold at first US & International Diamond Week in March.
The highlight of the third day of the US & International Diamond Week will be the auction by Tzoffey's 1818 in the Cullinan restaurant of the Israel Diamond Exchange starting at 16.30.

The sale will include only items that have achieved the minimum price that was set for them.

The preview of the items began on the first day of the Buyers Week event that started on Monday in a special area of the Maccabi building near the entrance to the bourse's trading hall. The events will be removed from the display area two hours before the auction begins.

Tzoffey's Sales Manager Gal Babayoff said: "The sale will include rare and unique stones. Tzoffey's is known to be selective and a firm that chooses to display rare stones that are not found on the market, including fancy color diamonds, sapphires and emeralds."

The bid for the highest-value diamond – weighing 10.04 carats – is $814,000.
