Fusion Tenders and Hennig to hold rough diamond tender during summer edition of US & International Diamond Week

Fusion Tenders, in conjunction with I. Hennig & Co, will be holding a rough diamond tender for original 10.80ct+ large single stones, as well as an original full ROM (run-of-mine) production (melee parcels to large stones). The tender will take place from the 25th – 29th of August 2013 in conjunction with the US & International Diamond Week in Israel, at the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE).
According to Arik Sela, Hennig’s Managing Director, the tender activity in Israel is part of the ongoing commitment of Hennig to the Israeli diamond industry which is wholeheartedly encouraged and supported by the IDE and its president Yair Sahar.

Hennig identified the potential for tenders of polished goods as early as 2008. The company found a partner with expertise in this field and teamed up with Fusion Alternatives (FA), a firm that specializes in managing tenders in the diamond industry. “We were pleased to discover that they ‘speak our language’ and operate according to our ethical standards,” Sela noted

At a later stage, the partners added rough tenders to the mix. “Now we market rough from the KAO Mine in Lesotho, goods from a mine in Guinea in western Africa, previously known as Aredor, and goods from other mines as well as independent diggers. In addition, we have some exciting new mine productions that we will shortly be announcing, further entrenching our position as the largest independent tender house of both polished and rough diamonds globally.
We have expanded our tenders now located in 6 centres worldwide, recently including Johannesburg and Dubai, in addition to New York, Antwerp, Tel Aviv, and Hong Kong.” said Fusion’s CEO Adam Schulman.

IDE president Sahar said the IDE leadership was glad to partner again with Hennig and Fusion Alternatives -- this time for summer edition of the US & & International Diamond Week in Israel -- and TO bring added value to the IDE membership. Sela, on his part, is confident that the rough tenders will match the requirements of the manufacturers and traders, to the benefit of the Israeli diamond industry and the international guests.
