The jewelry exhibition of graduates of Shenkar College's jewelry design department opens on July 11 at 5PM at the Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Museum.
From silver to gold, and enamel, wood, and stones, too: the new graduates of the jewelry design department have finalized four years of challenging studies by displaying their designs at a series of events that will open with a display of final projects work at the Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Museum in Ramat Gan.
The opening will take place on July 11, and the public, companies and diamond exchange members are invited to get to know the generation of the new young generation of designers and to learn about new concepts in the world of jewelry design.
This year, the Shenkar College decided on a new experimental step within the framework of which it canceled the graduates' normal exhibitions and instead the emphasis will be placed on academic dialog on the displays. In this spirit, the Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Museum in Ramat Gan, a discussion will be held on innovation and recognizing the messages of the new generation of jewelry designers.
The meeting between the new graduates and college staff from the jewelry design department will enable the participants to debate the influence of contemporary culture, society and the economy on the world of jewelry and vice versa.
Sharon Keren heads the jewelry design department at Shenkar College, and he is a first-class artist designing and producing items since the 1970s. He is among the founders of the Zik Group, a graduate of Bezalel College of Design, and deeply experienced in teaching who has exhibited his designs at many shows in Israel and abroad.
The exhibition of the work of the new designers ends on September 11.
