The official visit of the Indian ambassador in Israel Jaideep Sarkar took place last Thursday (17 January 2013). He met with the President of the Diamond Exchange, Mr. Yair Sahar, Vice President and Chairman of the Sports Committee, Mr. Ben Zion Shashu, Vice President And Chairman of the Security Committee, Mr. Shalom Papir, Acting President and Chairman of the Legal Committee, Mr. Rafi Yerushalmi and Chairman of the Audit Committee, Mr. Shaul Isaac.

The activities of the Diamond Exchange and the important contribution of the Diamond Industry to the Israeli economy were presented to the ambassador. Later, the ambassador, members of the Diamond Exchange Presidium and its CEO toured the Trading Hall.
At the conclusion, President Sahar presented the ambassador with a souvenir of his visit at the Israel Diamond Exchange.
