Israeli diamond industry members briefed on importance of smartphone marketing
Members of the Israel Diamond exchange received a comprehensive update on the topic of marketing and advertising via smartphones at a seminar organized by the Israel Diamond Institute (IDI).
The IDI, which provides a wide range of marketing services for members of the Israeli diamond business, held the educational session to show diamantaires how they can market their companies and products digitally.
The seminar was given by Adi Leventman of Israeli sdearch engine marketing company WEBSEM.
Industry organizations report that 700 million smartphones were shipped by manufacturers last year, easily beating the almost 500 million sold the year before.
With diamond buyers and sellers increasingly seeking the power to trade at any time of day, particularly when out of the office and with markets in different timezones, the importance of having a website that can be viewed on a smartphone has become vital.
