The hosts and organizers of the 2015 Presidents' Meeting – the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) and the Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association (IsDMA) – have invited Frank Müller, a renowned international luxury marketing consultant, to present the theme presentation of the Meeting. Müller will address the competitive challenges the diamond and diamond jewelry markets are facing in the global luxury consumer product market.
IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer, who is also an Honorary President of the World Federation Diamond Bourse (WFDB), said he is pleased to host Mr. Müller as the Meeting's theme speaker. "Diamond and diamond jewelry marketing is at the core of our industry's growth and success. We look forward to hearing Mr. Müller's views on what is needed to make our product more desirable to consumers worldwide," he stated.
WFDB President Ernest Blom praised the hosts for their initiative. "The Presidents' Meeting is an excellent opportunity to gauge the wellbeing of our industry and the downstream market. I am sure we will take away of lot of positive input from Müller's presentation and insights.
Frank Müller said he was excited to be discussing the luxury product markets and the market share of diamonds and diamond jewelry in the luxury sector.
"Worldwide, the consumer market for luxury products will continue to grow, with a spending power of potentially trillions of dollars. This growth is apparent, among others, in the rapid growth in BRIC-countries [Brazil, Russia, India, and China] and, where new generations of consumers are evolving. This bodes well for diamonds, too, provided the diamond industry and retail jewelry sector invest focused efforts in enhancing the desirability of diamonds among consumers."
