As in previous years, lots of children enjoyed the surprises, activity and shows at the Chanukah celebration with star Tzahi Noy. A representative of the Gil school thanked Israel Diamond Exchange President Shmuel Schnitzer for the warm hospitality.
The tradition of celebration and sharing at the Israel Diamond Exchange continued this year at a Chanukah party for IDE members’ children and special needs children from the Gil school in Giv'atayim, held last Friday (December 19) at the D-Mall. The children were welcomed with a host of activity, popcorn and other goodies, including sweets, DVDs and other surprises that were distributed at the entrance to the Hall.
As every year, hundreds of IDE members’ children celebrated the holiday of lights with approximately 50 children and 13 adults accompanying them from the Gil school in Giv'atayim and the songs and many other surprises. Chairman of the Culture Committee of the IDE, Yosef Ben-Zion, greeted the numerous participants, and thanked the bourse’s Vice President, Irit Ben Shahar, for organizing the event and invited the President of the Exchange, Shmuel Schnitzer, Acting President Kobi Korn, Vice President, Ben Zion Shasu and IDE General Manager Moti Besser to take part in the candle-lighting ritual.
Schnitzer greeted the participants and said: "Happy Chanukah to everyone. I am pleased to be here with all the kids and parents. I thank the Chairman of the Culture Committee Yosef Ben Zion on this initiative and organization of the event and wish everyone a fun time."
School representative Omer spoke on behalf of the children: "We wish to thank the President of the Exchange, Shmuel Schnitzer, Chairman of the Culture Committee, Yosef Ben-Zion and members of the public. Thank you for your warm hospitality and embrace."
The Chanukah events for children continue throughout the days of the festival, with guided tours at the Harry Oppenheimer Museum.
Happy Holidays!
