With less than three weeks to go until the Diamond Dealers Club of New York (DDC) opens its doors to diamond buyers from all over the Americas, the DDC and the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) are completing the preparations for the four-day diamond sales festival that will take place on the Club's trading floor.
"The Diamond Week can be seen as the last opportunity before the holiday sales season for diamond buyers to take part in a well-organized and highly concentrated diamond buying event," IDE president Shmuel Schnitzer commented.
"After Thanksgiving, diamonds buyer and jewelers will have no other opportunities in this special format to pursue their diamond needs. Therefore the Israel Diamond Week in New York gives buyers who need to replenish their diamond inventories the perfect opportunity to do just that," Schnitzer emphasized.
Visiting buyers will come face-to-face with hundreds of diamantaires on the DDC trading floor, among them 100 from Israel (see list below). The Israeli diamantaires, all members of the Israel Diamond Exchange, will display a wide variety of diamonds, including fancy shapes, fancy colored diamonds and lots of larger goods, in quantities and qualities that are rarely seen on the DDC floor.
It has proven not only to be successful platform for trade between the members of the largest diamond exchanges in the western world, but also a pro-active effort to open the DDC's doors to diamond buying jewelry manufacturers and jewelry retailers who usually do not visit the club.
