International Soccer Coach Fabio Capello Visits Bourse
During the visit, Capello along with IDE President Yair Sahar and members of the leadership of the exchange visited the rough diamonds Trading Hall, the Diamond Museum, and discussed the common qualities needed to succeed in both sport and the diamond trade.
Fabio Capello, the soccer coach of Russia, visited the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) on June 9 and met IDE President Yair Sahar and members of the leadership of the exchange.
Also attending the meeting was the deputy president and Finance Committee Chairman Moti Fluk, Legal Committee Chairman Rafi Yerushalmi, the vice-president and Sport Committee Chairman Ben Zion Shasu, Control Committee Shaul Yitzhaki, Diamond organization Chairman Yosef Ben Zion, IDE General Manager Moti Besser, diamond industry analyst Chaim Even-Zohar, Michael Salton who is in charge of medical matters at the bourse, and IDE members Gili Messika and Gideon Kafi.
During the visit, Capello was shown the rough diamonds Trading Hall, and the Diamond Museum by his hosts and they discussed the common qualities needed to succeed in both sport and the diamond trade.
Moti Besser gave a briefing on the development of the diamond sector during the past few decades, and presented import and export figures relating to rough and polished diamonds, the rise in net polished exports over the years, diamond exports in comparison to the rest of Israel's industrial exports, and polished diamond export destinations. He also explained about the diamond exchanges role and contribution to the wider community.
