More than 100 members of the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) donated blood and they and their families will now benefit from being assured of having their blood in the blood bank for one year.
The blood donation event organized by Magen David Adom on April 10 took place in the Herbert Alon Culture Hall.
The blood donations started at 9am and received a highly positive response from IDE members. By the time the event ended at 4pm, more than 100 exchange members had given blood.
Giving blood does not do any harm to the body and, in fact, helps in the speedy creation of new and refreshed blood cells.

Those IDE members who donated blood, and their families, are eligible for a special insurance from the blood bank for one year from the date of donating blood.
Due to the short time that blood can be kept of one month, Magen David Adom carries out regular blood donation events across the country. At the diamond exchange, blood donations are staged twice a year.
The date of the next event will be announced close to the actual date.
